Hubs Honey · Farrell Farms

Our Story

When Shanon and James moved to Van Alstyne, Texas, in 2019, one goal was clear: give something back to nature and help pollinate the world—or at least Texas.

From two hives to a working apiary

They began with two hives in May 2019. By 2022, seven healthy hives produced 15 gallons of honey, with plenty left for the bees. In 2023, the apiary grew largely through locally rescued and captured feral swarms. More than 20 hives have now come from bees that needed a safe home.

The bees come first

Every season teaches something new. Farrell Farms monitors colony strength, weather, pest pressure, and available forage, then adjusts with one priority: healthy, resilient bees. Honey is harvested only after the colonies have what they need.

Honey with a purpose

Every jar is harvested, extracted, and bottled here in Van Alstyne. Hubs Honey also supports Save The Bees USA and the work of protecting pollinators for the future.
